What you will be doing
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to support in leading the engineering function across this complex, luxury hotel. This role combines hands-on operational leadership with project, refurbishment and asset lifecycle management.
- Lead the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring safety, compliance and uptime
- Support the Chief Engineer in managing preventative maintenance programs and statutory compliance
- Plan and deliver projects, upgrades and asset refurbishment programs across rooms, public areas and back-of-house
- Coordinate and manage external contractors and suppliers to ensure quality, cost and timelines are controlled
- Drive asset condition reporting, capital planning and lifecycle management
- Oversee work orders, maintenance systems and reporting
- Support energy management, sustainability and efficiency initiatives
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on support to the engineering team
- Respond to guest and operational issues with urgency, professionalism and practical solutions
