Operation & Maintenance
- Ensure all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical, operate at optimal efficiency.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.
- Respond promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests while maintaining minimal disruption to services.
- Oversee repairs, upgrades, and daily operational checks of hotel facilities.
Safety, Compliance & Sustainability
- Maintain compliance with local building codes, fire safety regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and safety drills in coordination with relevant departments.
- Drive the hotel鈥檚 sustainability initiatives, including energy and water conservation programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of compliance records, inspections, and certifications.
Budgeting & Cost Management
- Prepare and manage the annual engineering budget, including capital expenditure planning.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising service quality.
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts for equipment and services
Project Management
- Lead engineering projects, renovations, and refurbishments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute capital projects aligned with the hotel鈥檚 long-term strategy.
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide coaching to team members.
- Ensure proper staffing and training to support operational needs.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with other department heads to support operational needs and special projects.
- Submit regular reports on maintenance activities, energy management, and project progress to the General Manager.
- Participate in management meetings and contribute to the hotel鈥檚 strategic planning initiatives.
