The Butler plays a central role in delivering the Raffles signature luxury service â offering personalised, anticipatory, and discreet service across the entire guest journey (preâarrival, arrival, inâhouse, departure, and postâstay). The Butler builds strong personal rapport with guests, anticipates their needs, and facilitates a flawless and unforgettable stay. They serve as an ambassador of the hotel and are knowledgeable about all hotel departments and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Create personal connections and deliver emotional luxury service to guests
- Participate in daily briefings and gather guest information to tailor experiences
- Customize and manage guest checkâin, suite setâup, orientation, and welcome amenities
- Offer welcome drinks, bespoke itineraries, and dining recommendations
- Anticipate and fulfill guest needs, including special celebrations or occasions
- Provide services such as unpacking/packing, light laundry handling, and shoeâshine
- Ensure prompt and courteous service in all suites
- Work closely with InâRoom Dining, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
- Customize inâsuite minibar and amenities according to guest preferences
- Track âDo Not Disturbâ rooms and report updates to leadership
- Respond promptly to guest calls, messages, or emails and coordinate resolutions with respective teams
- Maintain and clean Butler areas, guest suites, pantries, stores, equipment, and supplies
- Handle departure arrangements and extend warm farewells to guests
- Execute hotel sales/upsell strategies and assist in promoting inâhouse restaurants and facilities
- Uphold and deliver service according to Raffles SOP, Raffles Doha standards, Forbes 5âStar and LQA expectations
- Participate in special projects and assist other departments as needed
