The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Cluster Director Housekeeping in overseeing all housekeeping operations across LUURA properties. This role ensures high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in guest rooms, public areas, spa, retail, and laundry, while supervising day-to-day team activities. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager works closely with the Head of Housekeeping to implement SOPs, training programs, and operational standards, maintaining guest satisfaction and efficient workflows across all shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Housekeeping in supervising on-site housekeeping supervisors and teams across rooms, public areas, spa, retail areas, and laundry.
- Ensure daily housekeeping operations run smoothly, including shift alignment, coverage during peak hours, and team allocation.
- Supervise and ensure housekeeping teams prepare guest rooms, spa facilities, and public areas for daily operations and before each guest arrival, maintaining LUURA鈥檚 high standards.
- Conduct daily operational checks to confirm all housekeeping processes, equipment, and facilities are functioning correctly.
- Assist in the training of housekeeping staff on cleaning standards, hygiene protocols, guest interaction, and safety procedures.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to LUURA policies and operational standards.
- Monitor team performance, adherence to standards, and compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and spot checks of rooms, public areas, and laundry operations, reporting findings to the Head of Housekeeping.
- Oversee uniform distribution, ensuring staff have the correct uniforms ready for every shift.
- Assist in managing amenities, and housekeeping-related supplies; proactively informing Head Housekeeping Manager with the requirements.
- Prepare reports and updates for the Head of Housekeeping regarding operations, incidents, staff performance, and improvement initiatives.
- Be on-site covering shifts as needed and planned with the Cluster Director of Housekeeping.
