Your Role in the Story
As a Kitchen Steward at LUURA, you are a vital part of the kitchen team, ensuring that all dishes, equipment, and work areas are spotless, organized, and ready for seamless daily operations. Your attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and detail supports chefs, F&B teams, and ultimately the guest experience. You play a hands-on role in maintaining the kitchen鈥檚 smooth operation, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate washing equipment and machinery in line with company protocols.
- Wash, scrape, and sanitize dishes, glasses, cutlery, and cooking equipment.
- Clean workstations, food storage areas, and cooking areas according to food safety regulations.
- Maintain clean floors and walls in the kitchen and dishwashing areas by following standard procedures.
- Ensure kitchen and restaurant staff have necessary supplies and restock where required.
- Handle all glassware carefully and report any breakages.
- Empty garbage bins and ensure proper disposal.
- Keep floors dry and clean at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Follow all sanitation guidelines and maintain a hygienic workspace.
- Assist chefs and other kitchen staff as needed.
- Carry out general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and emptying rubbish bins.
- Check chemical levels and inventory regularly.
- Report any maintenance, damage, or hazard issues to the Head Chef promptly.
