As the leader responsible for commercial results, and in alignment with the property and regionās vision, mission and organizational values, the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Hawaiāi will lead the luxury positioning, and sales and marketing strategy for Fairmont Kea Lani, and as a support for the DOSMās in the region, to achieve aggressive revenue and business goals. They will act as an advisor with a strategic view to the Sales and Marketing Departments of all assigned hotels, and are the communication vehicle for Sales, Marketing, Public Relations and Revenue Management issues to and from the Region. This leader possesses a strong understanding of consumer mindset in the hospitality industry, as well as experience in top-tier meeting, incentive and luxury leisure sales. It requires an innovative, data-driven mindset, knowledge of hotel sales and a consistent and proven ability to develop and execute effective commercial strategies.
Salary Range: $230,000-$255,000
What you will be doing:
- Work closely with the Sales & Marketing Department and the Directors of Sales & Marketing in the region to drive top-line revenue performance and maximize market share
- Involved in the Strategic Planning Process for each hotel including but not limited to Five Year Market Segmentation Plan, Proformas and Budgets.
- Identify marketing synergies within the destination and region.
- Attain and/or surpass budgeted revenue expectations and RevPAR Index targets.
- Have constant focus on all revenue streams (Rooms, Catering, F&B, Spas,etc.)
- Assist with development of the regionās sales and marketing talent with a constant eye on identification of hi-potential colleagues and succession planning opportunities.
- Act as a key ambassador with customers and Global Sales to maximize awareness, enhance Brand presence and increase business for the hotels including but not limited to tradeshows, Global Sales Blitzes, community activations and client sales activities.
- Quarterly management of the Goals and Sales Incentive Program, Accelerate.
- Design, market and optimize activations and signature events synergistically with appropriate constituents and contacts
- Ensure that sales and marketing action plans are in place for need periods, market segments, niche markets and/or special events at each hotel and as a region.
- Build and maintain an effective relationship with owners.
- Champion brand positioning and brand standards within the region.
- Leverage Fairmont/Accor platforms, systems, loyalty program and overall strategies. Engage with Fairmont/Accor sales and marketing teams to maximize available tools and resources available to achieve revenue goals and steal market share.
- Create, plan, implement and monitor execution of the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics, and resources necessary to achieve the overall organizational business objectives. Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated and are an effective expenditure of resources.
- Support Director of Marketing & PR efforts to continually seek improvement of property websites, including vanity sites and brand.com, to include best in class visuals, storytelling, user experience and e-commerce optimization.
- Research, analyze and monitor various marketing, financial and demographic factors so business opportunities may be captured/optimized, and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
- Enable group sales team with effective selling tools and initiatives that generate qualified leads.
- Identify opportunities and drive the tracking of guest data across all touch points to customize the experience, drive revenue and improve loyalty and satisfaction.
- Evolve customer segmentation; behavioral, demographic, predictive and motivational by leveraging guest data and insights.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks, to form tactical strategies.
- Manage sales and marketing spend, to align with forecast and budget direction.
- Participate in key professional societies and activities related to the hospitality industry.
- Serve as ācorporate in the fieldā to communicate and leverage Accor tools, programs and resources for hotels in the region.
- Partner with Regional Vice President, General Managers and DOSMs to support goals and objectives within hotels.
Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
