Key Responsibilities
Operational & Technical
Perform daily rounds to check the functioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and other engineering systems.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdown calls from all departments.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as pumps, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans, chillers, boilers, and kitchen/laundry machinery.
Ensure proper operation of emergency systems โ fire alarm, sprinkler system, fire pumps, emergency lights, and generators.
Monitor BMS (Building Management System) and rectify alarms immediately.
Conduct preventive maintenance as per schedule and update records.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with statutory and safety standards (fire safety, electrical safety, water quality, STP/RO plant guidelines).
Maintain the logbooks for utility readings, equipment performance, and daily engineering activities.
Support in conducting safety drills and risk assessments.
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with vendors/contractors for repairs, AMC services, and inspections.
Provide technical support to housekeeping, front office, F&B, and other departments.
Handle guest room maintenance issues with professionalism and minimal disruption.
Energy Management
Monitor and manage consumption of electricity, water, diesel, and gas.
Suggest improvements for energy conservation and equipment efficiency.
Other Responsibilities
Train junior technicians on operating procedures and safety practices.
Assist the Chief Engineer during emergencies, audits, and major repairs.
Maintain tools, workshop cleanliness, and engineering inventory.
