Job Description

We are seeking a Permanent Part-Time Demis Chef to join our large kitchen team and provide efficient, friendly and professional food to all of our premium lounge guests. Our food offerings include al la carte & buffet across our Lounge environments at the domestic and also the international Qantas Lounges.

Full Time hours 5 day week ongoing roster is available

Working closely with our Executive Chef, Sous Chef and large kitchen team, you will excite our guests with culinary flair and enthusiasm and demonstrate a genuine passion for providing the highest quality of food.

• Trade qualification in Cookery and experience in a similar role is essential 
• Natural leadership style to support, encourage and mentor others
• Positive, empathetic and driven by team engagement 
• Detail-focused with the ability to deliver consistently high-quality food under pressure
• Experience & knowledge of mass production and large volumes of food
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of a wide range of cooking methods and techniques
• Time management skills with the ability to multitask  
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members
• Flexible availability to work a rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, weekends and public holidays
