Position Summary
The Director of People & Culture (P&C) is a strategic leader responsible for driving a culture of engagement, inclusivity, and performance excellence at Movenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc. The role focuses on aligning human resources strategies with business objectives to attract, develop, and retain top talent while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and corporate policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent across all levels.
- Foster employee retention through engagement initiatives, career development programs, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with department heads to anticipate and meet staffing needs during peak and off-peak seasons.
2. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with the resort's values.
- Design and lead employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, team-building activities, and feedback mechanisms.
- Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, ensuring open communication and conflict resolution.
3. Training & Development
- Oversee the creation and implementation of training programs to enhance skills, compliance, and leadership development.
- Support the growth of internal talent pipelines through mentoring and development plans.
- Ensure onboarding processes are effective, welcoming, and comprehensive.
4. HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage HR policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with local labor laws and alignment with corporate guidelines.
- Familiarity with Cadena Software is advantageous.
- Oversee compliance with health, safety, and welfare regulations.
- Supervise payroll processes to maintain accuracy and timeliness.
- Take responsibility for budgeting and forecasting within the HR function.
5. Strategic Partnership
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on workforce planning, productivity, and organizational development.
- Represent the resort during audits, labor negotiations, and community engagements.
