- Prepare and present a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods
- Assist in developing new menu items and refining existing recipes
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Manage inventory, place orders, and control costs for pastry ingredients and supplies
- Train and supervise junior pastry staff, fostering their skill development
- Collaborate with the sous chef and head chef to maintain kitchen efficiency
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all pastry items
- Contribute creative ideas for special events and seasonal menu changes
- Adapt to changing priorities and maintain efficiency during peak service times
