Key Responsibilities
Lobby Presence & Guest Flow
- Act as a visible, polished, and approachable host within the lobby, creating a welcoming and energized atmosphere.
- Support guest flow during arrivals, departures, and peak lobby moments in partnership with Expeditions, Food & Beverage, Summit Services, and Front Office teams.
- Anticipate guest needs through observation and proactive engagement, offering intuitive assistance before it is requested.
- Provide seamless wayfinding, local insight, and in-the-moment support that elevates the arrival and lobby experience.
- Take full ownership of the lobby environment, ensuring it remains immaculate, inviting, and aligned with luxury standards at all times.
- Lead and deliver the welcome drink ritual in collaboration with Expeditions, creating a memorable first impression.
- Step in to support Guest services during high-volume periods when needed.
Expeditions & Local Experience Support
- Provide personalized recommendations through thoughtful conversation and discovery.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Banff National Park, including trails, seasonal conditions, wildlife etiquette, wellness offerings, and cultural experiences.
- Prepare guests with practical advice on gear, weather, travel times, and safety considerations.
- Use storytelling, maps, and digital tools to help guests visualize and plan their adventures.
- Inspire guests to explore, connect, and experience the mountain lifestyle fully.
Retail & Brand Experience
- Assist with POS transactions and maintain accurate inventory practices.
- Support a polished, elevated retail presentation that reflects the Rimrock and Emblems brand.
- Engage guests naturally in retail offerings through conversational, non-intrusive service.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate documentation related to guest interactions, bookings, and vendor coordination.
- Use digital tools, booking systems, mapping platforms, and POS software confidently and accurately.
- Balance social engagement with structured follow-through and detail-oriented execution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through curiosity, collaboration, and idea-sharing.
