As a Casual Commis Chef, you will play an integral role in supporting daily kitchen operations across breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, buffet, and function service. You will ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest quality and brand standards while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions, and buffet service.
Prepare and ensure availability of mise en place as required for service periods.
Organise and manage your assigned section to ensure it operates efficiently and productively.
Ensure all food produced aligns with kitchen recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment at all times.
Ensure strict stock rotation, correct storage, and minimum wastage practices.
Monitor daily kitchen product requirements and advise the Chef on duty of shortages in advance.
Maintain and clean all equipment within your section and report any issues to the Executive Chef.
Ensure compliance with current food health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Assist and liaise with the Chef on duty to support smooth kitchen operations.
