KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Material Selection & Inspection: Inspecting veneer sheets for quality, knots, grain, and defects; selecting suitable veneers based on design.
- Cutting & Matching: Precisely cutting veneers, aligning grain, and matching sheets for seamless patterns
- Application: Applying veneers to furniture substrates (plywood, MDF) using adhesives and pressing equipment.
- Finishing: Sanding surfaces smooth, applying stains, oils, lacquers, or waxes for a flawless final look.
- Machinery Operation: Operating veneer slicers, presses, sanders, and other woodworking machines.
- Repair & Restoration: Modifying, repairing, or restoring existing veneered furniture.
- Quality Control: Ensuring all work meets design specifications and high-quality standards.
- Veneer Applicator/Press Operator: Focuses on applying and pressing veneers.
- Veneer Sander: Specializes in preparing surfaces for finishing.
- Veneer Cutter/Trimmer: Selects, cuts, and prepares veneer sheets.
- Furniture Finisher: Applies stains, paints, and sealers to completed pieces.
- Actively participates in the monthly departmental meeting by providing feedback and offering suggestions for improvement
- Completes tasks as assigned by Civil Supervisor.
