PURPOSE OF POSITION
To provide high-quality food and beverage service during special events while maintaining a professional, friendly, and efficient presence.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform with palm pin at all times.
- Maintain and deliver Raffles Service Culture and operational excellence.
- Must know the standards set by Raffles Dubai
- Ensure mise-en-place is complete.
- The ability to gather and transport all supplies needed for the setup of a function, but not limited to silverware, chinaware, linen, skirts, glassware, condiments, etc.
- Set up banquet rooms according to event orders (tables, chairs, linens, d茅cor)
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner
- Follow proper service styles (plated, buffet, family-style, cocktail service)
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout the event
- Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown
- Communicate with kitchen and banquet Leader to ensure smooth service
- Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
- Respond to guest requests and resolve basic service issues promptly
- Present banquet check to event organizers, ensure checks are signed and correctly posted.
- Break down event spaces and reset rooms after events
- Perform side duties as per checklist
- Report to manager any kinds of deviation from set standard and procedures.
- Ensure that all operating equipment is maintained.
- Ensure that all service and storage areas are kept safe, clean and locked.
- To report any complaints, incidents or any other irregularities to the management.
- Attend all meetings and trainings as scheduled by Assistant Banquets Manager.
- To assist and report to the Banquets Leader and carry out requests as made by the management.
- Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times.
- Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information.
- Establish and maintain effective employee working relationship.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, hotel services/features and hours of operations, as they affect the areas of responsibility.
- Able to account and handle cash effectively, efficiently, with integrity and follow established and proper accounting procedures.
- Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel.
- Assist other Food & Beverage Outlets in their operations within peak times when needed.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Must be well presented and professionally groomed at all times.
- Good communication and good problem resolution skills.
- Basic F&B product knowledge.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
