As our Overnight Safety & Security Supervisor, you will support our Security Manager in enhancing the safety and security of our property, improving team performance, and ensuring consistent oversight of the department’s overnight operations. You will lead nightly safety and security operations, ensure compliance with established protocols, and serve as a vital leader within the department.
Hourly rate: $31.23
What you will be doing:
- Lead the Overnight Safety and Security team, ensuring uninterrupted safety and security operations and aligning efforts with departmental objectives, safety protocols and company policies
- Conduct routine patrols to maintain a safe environment for guests, employees, and property assets.
- Monitor and address safety hazards, security risks, and unauthorized activities.
- Assist the Night Manager during emergency situations by conducting drills and managing real-time incidents.
- Respond to incidents promptly and oversee the coordination of emergency responses, acting as the point of contact
- Administer first aid/CPR when necessary and coordinate with emergency medical services.
- Provide guidance to guests and employees during emergencies, ensuring safety and order.
- Oversee and monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and secure access points to maintain comprehensive surveillance.
- Conduct and document key control audits while safeguarding sensitive information.
- Ensure compliance with local and corporate safety regulations, including fire safety standards and liquor laws.
- Assist with scheduling and labor management
- Investigate safety and security incidents involving guests or employees, including collecting information, documenting findings, and producing detailed, confidential reports.
- Maintain consistent documentation of incidents, audits, and patrols and ensure a seamless handover to relevant parties.
- Manage disturbances and resolve conflicts in accordance with company policies.
- Address guest complaints with professionalism and issue trespass notices when appropriate.
- Train, coach, and mentor team members to enhance performance and build capacity.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to review safety protocols, operational updates, and department goals
- Address guest service needs promptly while prioritizing safety and security.
Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
