The position is based on Toronto at the Fairmont Royal York, but responsible for group inquiries for both Fairmont Royal York and Fairmont Chateau Laurier from a variety of market segments. In addition, prospecting is a heavy component of the position.
- Exact parameters for this position will flex based on business needs however the primary focus of the role is to maintain and expand existing key accounts while strategically looking for new group business and/or accounts
- This position is responsible for exceeding their room night quota as outlined by the Director of Sales.
- Develop and implement monthly proactive action plans to get in front of and maintain key clients and accounts.
- Assertive prospecting with qualified return to determine and recommend prospective customers from the market.
- Exceed monthly sales activity goals. This includes activities such as prospecting, sales trips (domestic and/or international), personal sales calls, entertainment and site inspections.
- Must be able to work balancing multiple priorities with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
- Participate in sites, FAMs, and industry trade shows, promotional events and other related industry organizations within and outside of Toronto
- Respond to inquiries regarding guest room and function space availability in a professional and timely manner.
- To initiate billing procedures to ensure hotel deal with creditable clientele, as well as ensuring deposits and/or credit applications are received with adequate information
- Work independently within given parameters and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment
- Manage and lead a Sales Coordinator to achieve and exceed all required KPIs.
- Able to handle many tasks at once with strong organizational and supervisory skills
