Position Summary:
The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is seeking an Assistant Dean of Assessment, Evaluation and Accreditation. We are seeking candidates to join our community of scholars who are passionate about nursing and want to thrive in a creative and caring work environment. FAU’s Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is known internationally for its dedication to Caring: expanding the science, practicing the art, studying the meaning, and living it day-to-day. We offer four-degree programs (BSN, MSN, DNP and PhD) and post-graduate certificates with curricula that are unique and caring-based with opportunities for interprofessional education. All our programs are endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC).
Candidates for this position should be a nurse with a terminal degree and extensive experience in nursing education in an academic setting. They should have expertise in academic program assessment and evaluation, and experience with Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation standards and processes.
This position reports to the Dean of the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing.
Assistant Dean, Assessment, Evaluation and Accreditation
The Assistant Dean of Assessment, Evaluation and Accreditation will provide visionary leadership in the Christine E. College of Nursing. They will oversee academic assessment and evaluation for all academic programs and oversee CCNE accreditation and AHNCC endorsement processes.
The Assistant Dean of Assessment, Accreditation and Evaluation initiates, manages, and evaluates a broad spectrum of academic initiatives, including the development of legislatively-mandated and administratively-requested academic program reviews, assessment reports, and accreditation activities. This position serves as the accreditation liaison for the College to the University. The teaching requirement for this position is approximately one course per semester.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Candidates must have a terminal degree in nursing or a terminal degree in another related field with a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN).Salary:
