The Senior Project Manager β Regulatory will be an integral member of the UK&I Programme Team, providing essential support to the Head of Projects & Regulatory in delivering a portfolio of regulatory projects across the UK&I division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading large-scale, complex change initiatives across our UK&I digital business. They will oversee all elements of the project life cycle - from defining scope and developing plans through to executing change that maximises impact and delivers value across all affected business areas.
Working closely with department heads, key business stakeholders & Central PMO function, they will ensure consistent control, coordination, decision making & effective implementation of all projects & initiatives within their remit. Projects will range in size & scope within the regulatory change programme as defined in our UK&I Portfolio Plan.
Critically, as well as overseeing the overall project delivery, they will also be responsible for ensuring effective implementation of all projects by working closely with our Gibraltar Operations and Customer Operations & Internal Communications teams to deliver clear, concise and timely communications & engagement to all stakeholders.
Project Management
- Partner with Regulatory, Product & Technology, Commercial, Marketing & Finance functions to design, develop & deliver complex change projects aligned with our key strategic business objectives
- Collaborate with large cross functional teams to deliver effective project management governance & control across all assigned regulatory projects
- Provide leadership to ensure that projects are completed on time, to agreed scope/objectives and within budget, with the ability to adapt to changes in a controlled manner
- Accountable for the entire project lifecycle from initiation and planning to execution and closure, in accordance with our agreed project governance framework
- Responsible for developing, owning and delivering end to end project plans for all assigned elements of the UK&I Portfolio Plan
- Develop comprehensive business cases for change, identifying risk, benefit, cost and timescale analysis β gaining required support & securing funding where appropriate
- Work closely with key internal & external stakeholders including SMEs and the senior leadership team to ensure the project is delivered on time, to agreed scope & on budget
- Proactive escalation of any deviations, changes, or emerging risks & issues through the agreed project governance framework, updating the PMO function & UK&I Leadership Team through the monthly reporting cycle
- Deliver successful outcomes through excellent project governance, ensuring all deviations, changes and risks are tracked & escalated through the defined channels
- Ensure appropriate handover of project outcomes to BAU environment and completion of project post evaluation using agreed KPIβs
- Review the effectiveness of all projects & initiatives, ensuring continuous learning is applied to future projects

- Build & maintain a strong working relationship between Gibraltar and Commercial Operations and the Programme & Communications teams, ensuring effective planning and implementation of all initiatives
- Deputising for the Head of Projects & Regulatory as needed
- Providing guidance and working closely with 1 direct report.
Essential skills
- Proven track record of managing large complex regulatory projects with high visibility across the organisation, delivering on time and within scope
- Skilled in project management, business analysis and associated disciplines
- Strong communication & influencing skills, with the ability to adapt both style and approach as needed
- Proven team leadership experience having managed a direct and/or indirect teams previously
- Track record of nurturing & developing talent, to bring out the best performance in individuals
- Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders, both internal and external
- Ability to understand and establish business requirements and create structured plans using recognised project management methods
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills to be able to cope with the pressures of working in a fast-paced environment
