Position Summary: Safely and efficiently manage the finish area and assist the supervisor, with an emphasis on ensuring the application of the stain, toner, and/or sealer meets or exceeds expectations and that in doing so proper procedures are followed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular sprayer audits (minimum of 3 audits a week for full time sprayers)
- Certifies sprayers
- Shows and explains video training film
- Updates and maintains ASDOT database on computer daily.
- Calculates Sprayer Operators scores and averages for certification.
- Trains Sprayer Operators on SOS.
- Updates SOS as needed.
- Trains Sprayer Operators on booth maintenance process.
- Sprays in booths.
- Ensures sprayers have been properly trained.
- Coaches and corrects Sprayer Operators to ensure proper ASDOT technique is used.
- Supports all areas to relieve operators.
- Ensures all operators are performing tasks according to documented procedures.
- Perform all daily/weekly LPAs, 6S audits, and other audits as assigned.
- Often works independently
- Works on special projects as assigned
- Performs daily spray booth audits.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Some travel may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
