Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Business Architect to work closely with senior business stakeholders and multiple workstreams within a leading banking environment. This role focuses on current account journeys including lending and account switching, and is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions for complex core banking and current account challenges. The position ensures systems are scalable, resilient, secure, and aligned with overall business and IT strategies by translating business requirements into actionable architectural designs and maintaining both current and target state architecture.
What you will do:
- Lead design and technical architecture for loans, current and savings accounts, and operational platforms with a focus on scalability, resiliency, security, and regulatory compliance while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture strategy.
- Develop solutions and designs that align with business goals, risk controls, and overall IT strategy.
- Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and business analysts to align architectural solutions with business requirements for current accounts and core banking functions.
- Translate business requirements into comprehensive architectural designs that act as blueprints for successful solution implementation and target state architecture.
- Advise business and product teams while supporting technical delivery and innovation across the banking landscape.
- Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies, challenging vendor solutions to ensure alignment with organisational strategy and cost effectiveness.
- Drive consistent and innovative solutions that support both strategic and operational goals across current account and core banking domains.
- Design and facilitate end-to-end solutions, define integration patterns, and ensure domain processes are efficient, secure, and aligned with business needs.
