The Business Analyst ensures the liaison between the business side and the IT side of an IT project. The Business Analyst is knowledgeable in the business and in the applications of his area and bridges both. The Business Analyst is responsible for the analysis and all related documentation for his allocated IT projects. The Business Analyst defines how the scope of the IT project will be implemented within the existing applications, working closely with the software development team. Their role includes establishing and maintaining strong regional relations for knowledge sharing and activities to achieve synergy with other BAs in the region, as well as with business units and regional/group teams.
Business requirement management
- Bridges business and IT solutions manages business relations with stakeholders (including key users, lab managers, and business unit managers) on IT initiatives to ensure successful implementation.
- Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepares specifications, documentation
- Providers regular updates on assigned requirements
- Ensures proper documentation,
Technical tasks
- Defines requirements, user stories, test cases
- Work with the Product Owner to prioritise requirements
- Prepares changes for Change Advisory Board
- Supports master data migration during projects
- Provides training to users on its application scope
- Provides post go live support of any new solution deployed (« HyperCare Support »).
- Prepares training materials, technical and end-user documentations
