As a Senior Transportation Technologist, you will play a vital role in the planning, design, and construction of highways, roadways and municipal designs that form the backbone of our infrastructure systems. Your expertise in civil and municipal engineering principles, materials science, and project management enables you to contribute to the safe, efficient, and sustainable development of transportation networks. From conceptual design to final inspection, you are responsible for ensuring conformity to established design practices and standards while meeting regulatory standards and project requirements.
- Prepare budgets and schedules, plan the work, and provide technical direction and oversight.
- Manage project teams, control project budgets and schedules, and quality control of deliverables.
- Complete conceptual designs, preliminary engineering and detailed design activities and deliverables.
- Perform technical reviews of work prepared by colleagues for quality assurance purposes.
- Provide assistance in the support and development of transportation design staff.
- Assist team leadership with growing the Western Canada Infrastructure group and pursing new business opportunities and clients.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, specifications, tender documents, and reports.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines including structural, geotechnical, environmental, drainage, and electrical.
- Provide construction administration liaison and complete construction supervision and site inspections on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
