Job Purpose
- The IT Lead of Product Related Development is the end-to-end owner for Products related applications delivery programs/projects.
- You will be a key stakeholder in building the future state of AIG Japanâs product development, which is the key critical factor in growing our business.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the business strategy execution by driving IT execution plan.
- Work closely with the various business teams to understand their needs and priorities. Evaluates business requirements and creates technical delivery plan in corporation with the AIG internal IT team and vendor resources.
- Lead and deliver technology solutions in alignment with business and IT objectives.
- Ensure technical projects are completed on time, on budget and within quality standards.
- Manage the delivery team consisting of both internal and external resources
- Reviews and approves vendor deliverables for fit for purpose and quality.
- Play a people manager role to manage a team within the Product section.

Required Skills and Experiences
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor of Science Degree â Computer Science or related field
Specific Qualifications
- Japanese language: Native or business fluency. English: business fluency
Total Experience
- 8+ years in insurance industry experience; especially in General Insurance market.
- 10+ years in a project management and delivery role.
- 6+ years in information technology experience; especially in developing new product and/or enhancing existing products.
- 3+ years in people manager experience with a team size of 3+ employee resources.
- Has growth mindset and can improve employee engagement.
- Strong leadership / influencing and negotiation skills.
- Able to see big picture / strategy thinker.
- Demonstrable experience standing up, leading, and managing complex projects and programs, ability to influence and partner with stakeholders to deliver project objectives.
- Experience and understanding of Agile methodology and being a scrum master is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning (quantitative and qualitative) that can be applied in a problem-solving scenario.
- Mastery of executive-level communications development and high-degree of comfort in working/communicating with senior business leaders.
- Self-starter that is comfortable working in a dynamic program environment that includes a degree of ambiguity. Willing to dive in as part of the team to get the job done.
- Understanding of technical architecture and application systems integration in a large heterogeneous enterprise environment.
- Experience and understanding of DevOps, DevSecOps, Test Automation is a plus.
- Strong technical knowledge of digital environments including Frontend technologies, APIs, Messaging, Databases, Big Data, Networks and their interactions is a plus.
