Comment vous créerez un impact

• Développer des relations solides avec les courtiers et les clients afin de développer le portefeuille d'assurance-crédit de l'assureur.

• Souscrire de nouvelles polices d'assurance-crédit et renouveler les polices existantes, et négocier les termes et conditions des contrats.

• Analyser les crédits des entreprises nationales et internationales, évaluer les informations financières et recommander ou approuver les limites de crédit et les conditions appropriées.

• Gérer et assurer un service de qualité pour le portefeuille existant d'assurance-crédit.

• Mener des actions de marketing et de vente auprès des courtiers et des assurés afin d'accroître le volume des demandes.

• Participer à divers projets de souscription et de marketing pour améliorer les résultats globaux de l'entreprise.

• Respecter les directives et les objectifs opérationnels et d'audit de la direction.

• Soutenir l'équipe de souscription et les souscripteurs seniors.

• Appuyer la direction dans la production de rapports et la réalisation de projets, selon les besoins.

Le souscripteur gère les relations clés et examine les transactions pour les courtiers, les marchés et les secteurs cibles de l'assurance-crédit. Ce poste essentiel implique des responsabilités de marketing externes et internes, ainsi que la gestion des activités et des initiatives de souscription au sein du bureau.

Ce qu’il vous faut pour réussir

• La maîtrise de l'anglais et du français (verbal et écrit) est essentielle, car une partie importante de la souscription gérée par l'employé aura lieu à l'extérieur du Québec.

• Expérience en analyse de crédit ou financière et solides compétences en développement commercial.

• 2 à 3 ans d'expérience en souscription sont un atout.

• Expérience dans le secteur de l'assurance requise.

• Maîtrise des logiciels Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), S&P Cap IQ et Salesforce.

• Solides compétences en organisation et en communication essentielles.

• Un MBA ou une formation de troisième cycle est un atout.

• Expérience en souscription, en services bancaires, en assurance ou en analyse de crédit.

How you will create an impact

• Developing strong relationships with brokers and clients to grow the underwriter’s book of trade credit business 

• Underwriting new and renewal insurance trade credit submissions and negotiating policy terms and conditions.

• Analyzing domestic and international corporate credits, evaluating financial information, and recommending or approving appropriate credit limits and terms.

• Professionally maintaining and properly servicing an existing book of trade credit insurance business.

• Marketing, selling and presenting to brokers and insureds to increase submission flow.

• Engaging in various underwriting and marketing projects to improve overall company results.

• Meeting operating and audit guidelines and goals of senior management.

• Supporting the broader underwriting team and senior underwriters.

• Supporting management in the production of reports and projects as required
   

The Underwriter manages key relationships and reviews transactions for key targeted Trade Credit brokers/markets/industries. This is an integral position that provides front facing external/internal marketing responsibilities as well as management of office underwriting duties and initiatives.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Fluency in both English and French (verbal and written) is essential, as a significant portion of underwriting handled by the employee will occur outside of Quebec

• Background in credit or financial analysis and strong commercial development skills

• 2-3 years of experience in an underwriting capacity is preferred

• Background in Insurance required

• Proficiency in software packages Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), S&P Cap IQ, and Salesforce

• Solid organizational and communication skills are essential

• MBA or post graduate education is valued

• In addition to underwriting, banking, insurance or other credit analysis experience.
