We are seeking a seasoned and transformational Sales Director to lead the State, Local Government, and Education (SLED) vertical for our Freshworks, North America business. This leader will be responsible for delivering aggressive top-line revenue growth by driving new business through the implementation of scalable, repeatable, structured go to market processes. Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales you will ensure the SLED vertical strategy is successfully implemented across the region, delivering regional financial target attainment. You will build and lead a team of high performing Account Executives known for closing large deals in the SLED sectors and consistently exceeding quotas.
- Set and execute an aggressive customer acquisition strategy that will accelerate revenue growth from the SLED vertical.
- Evangelize SLED industry trends, both internally and externally, and translate into actionable ways account leaders can implement Freshworks’ products or new features to drive value.
- Execute complex sales cycles with CXOs, leveraging executive presence to access, accurately identify and understand the key buying influencers pertaining to an opportunity.
- Cultivate executive relationships with partners, optimize partner performance through business reviews, identify additional business opportunities to expand revenue, deploy a sales approach that accelerates manufacturing vertical revenue growth.
- Identify new opportunities, winning large pursuits across the SLED vertical, creating end-to-end sales life cycle for manufacturing deals, direct and through the field.
- Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence to all key stakeholders to facilitate understanding of customer and market conditions that delivers consistent achievement of quarterly and annual targets.
- Ensure internal processes are followed, including team’s adherence to tracking customer and transactional information in CRM system and other sales and operational processes. Define new processes to increase overall productivity and forecast accuracy.
- Travel to company, customer and partner events in support of sales efforts.
