The Opportunity
In this role, you鈥檒l work closely with local technology suppliers within the Running Great Restaurants Technology team, helping to build strong partnerships that support McDonald鈥檚 UK & Ireland restaurants.
You鈥檒l play a key part in working collaboratively to ensure solutions deliver real value and support our wider Technology strategy. Rather than simply managing delivery, you鈥檒l help suppliers focus on outcomes that matter most to the business, while encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
You鈥檒l also contribute to the ongoing development of our supplier management approach, helping to strengthen how we work with partners to deliver reliable, high鈥憅uality and resilient technology services. This includes supporting clear governance, positive ways of working and a shared focus on service excellence.
Alongside this, you鈥檒l help guide the overall strategy and day鈥憈o鈥慸ay relationships with our technology suppliers, acting as a trusted point of connection between McDonald鈥檚 and our partners to ensure we continue to get the best from each other.
What will my accountabilities be?
- Create a positive, high鈥憄erforming environment within the RGRT team, role鈥憁odelling behaviours that reflect our values and ways of working.
- Support and develop team members through regular coaching and mentoring, ensuring everyone has clear development goals and opportunities to grow their careers.
- Build clear expectations with our technology partners, working collaboratively to deliver great service, effective change, and continuous improvement across products and services.
- Partner closely with the Contracts and Commercial team to ensure supplier agreements are well鈥憇tructured, well鈥慻overned and regularly reviewed, with appropriate protections around service continuity, cyber security and change management.
- Work alongside Service Operations to understand and monitor performance trends across live production services, using insight to inform improvement activity.
- Use supplier relationships, contracts and governance forums to help drive meaningful transformation that delivers strong outcomes for restaurants and Franchisees.
- Lead regular, structured governance conversations with suppliers; using balanced scorecards to review performance, demonstrate value and agree clear improvement actions where needed.
- Encourage innovation and collaboration with technology suppliers, creating space for new ideas that enhance service and operational performance.
- Lead a team of subject matter experts to help identify root causes of recurring issues and support effective, long鈥憈erm solutions.
- Oversee the tracking and trending of supplier product performance across live services to ensure stability, resilience and continuous improvement.

The Supplier Consultant (job title known internally as Consultant, Restaurant Technology) will be part of the Supplier Management team within Running Great Restaurants Technology
