About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will be the hands on developer behind our core business. A key focus of the role is the ongoing development of IntelAgent, our proprietary platform, which gives our agents a genuine edge in a competitive market.
You will build and maintain the integrations, internal tools and automations that our sales and property management teams rely on every day. You will work closely with our CRM Business Analyst, Head of Digital and Digital Marketing Specialist, as well as our outsourced IT, cyber security and development partners.
This is a role for someone who enjoys owning their work from design through to delivery and wants to see the direct impact of what they build. Technology is central to our future, and you will play a key part in shaping it.
Key Responsibilities
IntelAgent
- Lead the hands on development, maintenance and enhancement of IntelAgent
- Deliver new features and improvements in line with the roadmap set by the Head of Technology
- Work with agents, management and the CRM Business Analyst to understand their needs and make sure IntelAgent delivers real value
- Maintain code quality, security, performance and technical documentation
CRM and Integrations
- Build, maintain and monitor integrations between Box+Dice, RedHQ, REA, Domain, Kolmeo, Managed, Inspection Express, First AML and other business systems
- Develop and maintain APIs, listing feeds and data flows so that listings, contacts, leads and transactions move accurately between systems
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot integration failures and data issues, and maintain data quality across core systems
Internal Tools, Automation and AI
- Develop a strategy for integrating internal applications and workflows to improve the experience of our teams and clients
- Design and build internal applications that reduce manual work across sales, property management and support teams
- Deliver automations across sales administration, operations, marketing and compliance
- Build and integrate approved AI tools in line with our AI governance framework
Website and Digital Platforms
- Develop, enhance and maintain marshallwhite.com.au and related digital products
- Make sure website enquiries flow accurately into the CRM
- Keep our digital platforms secure, fast, reliable and accessible
Support, Quality and Partners
- Provide second line support for IntelAgent, integrations and internal tools, and resolve critical issues quickly
- Use contemporary development tools and methods, including Agile, to deliver quickly and to a high standard
- Act as the technical point of contact for outsourced development work, reviewing code and deliverables for quality
- Advise the Head of Technology on platform choices, build versus buy decisions and system architecture
Skills, Experience & Qualities
- At least 5 years of commercial software development experience
- Strong experience building and maintaining API integrations between business systems
- Proficiency in a modern backend language and web development framework
- Solid database and SQL skills
- Experience with cloud platforms, version control and release practices
- Project management experience, ideally in an Agile environment
- Sound understanding of secure coding and data privacy
- Ability to explain technical matters clearly to non technical colleagues
- Tertiary qualification in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in real estate, proptech or a CRM driven business is highly regarded
- Experience building with AI tools, or in the Microsoft environment including SharePoint and Power Automate, is a bonus
- A practical, curious problem solver with high standards, who is not satisfied with systems that almost work
