You will be the technical authority on hazardous production materials and ultra-high-purity (UHP) systems, working directly with client facilities, EHS and tool teams from concept through turnover. Business sectors: semiconductor, battery, energy and nuclear fuel, and defense and aerospace.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design bulk and specialty gas systems (N₂, O₂, Ar, H₂, He, CDA; silane, NH₃, NF₃, HF, Cl₂, WF₆), including gas cabinets, VMBs/VMPs, purifiers and point-of-use connections.
- Design bulk chemical distribution for acids, bases, solvents, CMP slurry and battery electrolyte: dispense units, day tanks, reclaim and double-contained piping with leak detection.
- Specify UHP materials and quality: EP 316L stainless, PFA/PVDF, orbital welding, cleanliness, and particle, moisture and O₂ certification testing.
- Lead code and life-safety strategy: IBC/IFC Group H occupancy, MAQ and control-area analysis, HPM rooms, and HMIS/HMMP documentation.
- Coordinate toxic gas monitoring, emergency shutdown and exhaust abatement with HVAC, fire protection and controls.
- Develop P&IDs, utility matrices, tool hookup and point-of-connection (POC) design, and hydraulic and pressure-drop calculations.
- Support construction: submittals, RFIs, pressure and leak testing, commissioning and turnover.
