We're looking for a detail-oriented and decisive Assistant Manager – Mechanical to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. In this role, you will support the Mechanical Operations Manager in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment. You will combine technical expertise with leadership capabilities to ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and team performance. - Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical maintenance and repair activities, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Assist in planning and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan
- Conduct technical inspections and diagnostics of mechanical systems, identifying issues and recommending solutions
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical technicians, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company standards across all mechanical operations
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, work orders, maintenance logs, and performance reports
- Manage inventory of mechanical parts, tools, and supplies, optimizing stock levels and vendor relationships
- Analyze equipment performance data and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using a systematic approach
- Collaborate with other departments to support facility operations and address mechanical concerns
