We are seeking a Structures–Rail Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of rail and transit infrastructure projects in Connecticut.
The Impact You'll Make
- Lead and support structural design for rail-related infrastructure projects, including bridges, culverts, retaining structures, and station elements
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (track, civil, electrical, geotechnical) to ensure integrated project delivery
- Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD, LARSA, or similar)
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (AREMA, AASHTO, ASTM, local/state requirements)
- Support project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and condition assessments as needed
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
