What your day might look like:
- The Laboratory Co-op will support the daily operations of the analytical laboratory, maintaining smooth testing workflows and ensuring a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)
- Perform laboratory testing of water and hydrocarbon fluids as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere to the analytical and quality control protocols accurately, timely, and safely.
- Maintain, calibrate, and clean laboratory equipment and apparatus.
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, sample containers and consumables.
- Receive and handle samples delivered to the facility during normal business hours.
- Dispose waste materials in compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and requirements.
- Support safety and quality initiatives and activities.
- Effectively manage all assigned tasks to ensure completion by established timelines.
- Report malfunctions (threshold exceeded, non-compliant samples, quality alert procedure) to the laboratory manager.
