- Job Title: Petroleum Inspector
- Job Type: Permanent
- Location: Grangemouth (Field based role)
- Hours: Average working hours, 48 hours per week, which can include evenings, and weekends (you will be working around ship/ vessel timings)
- Salary: From £31,724, including a company vehicle
- Industry: Natural Resources- Environmental and Oil & Gas
This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll work across terminals, vessels, and customer sites, ensuring cargoes are accurately measured, sampled, and inspected to the highest industry standards. What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out cargo inspections, measurements, sampling, and stock assessments of petroleum, chemical, and related products.
- Ensuring all inspection activities are completed safely, accurately, and in line with industry standards, client requirements, and SGS procedures.
- Producing detailed inspection reports, certificates, timesheets, and supporting documentation.
- Working closely with customers, terminals, laboratories, and operational teams to deliver a professional and responsive service.
- Maintaining inspection equipment and ensuring PPE is used and cared for correctly.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to operational excellence across the business.
- Representing SGS professionally whilst delivering a high-quality service to customers.
