We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our Cost and Commercial Management team and play a key role in delivering major Corporate Occupier projects, ranging from large-scale developments to multi-million-pound programmes.
This is a strategic position within the Commercial Management Office (CMO), where the successful applicant will work closely with client teams as a trusted advisor. The role provides the opportunity to influence project outcomes from the earliest stages, supporting the successful delivery of complex projects and programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Cost and Commercial Management services, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery across large, complex and major projects.
- Provide strategic advice during project inception, including guidance on delivery approaches that support the achievement of client objectives.
- Lead the development of project success criteria, including cost, schedule, technical and performance requirements.
- Produce benchmarking and cost intelligence, supporting the adoption of digital tools and systems to improve commercial efficiency.
- Plan for and oversee the management of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Establish effective project governance, processes and systems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide advice on the procurement of project resources.
- Lead and facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Monitor performance and apply appropriate management techniques, including the use of KPIs to enhance project outcomes.
- Manage change control processes as required.
- Monitor project finances and provide commercial advice and recommendations.
- Manage the flow of project information between stakeholders through regular meetings, reporting and written communications.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client on a day-to-day basis, ensuring objectives are achieved and projects are delivered within agreed cost, schedule and quality parameters.
- Deliver services ranging from strategic advisory support to detailed project reporting.
- Fulfil SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
- Apply risk management principles and methodologies appropriately across projects and programmes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, business systems, quality standards and risk management requirements.
- Provide timely and informed contributions to the annual budget-setting process.
- Support the delivery of strategic initiatives as assigned by business leadership.
- Ensure all project, financial and business information is maintained accurately, securely and up to date.
