Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer - Hiring Event with AECOM - New York City

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York October 15th and 16th.  This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.

The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to be based in Bloomfield, NJ, or New York City, NY. The Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer will be a part of our MEP/Fire Protection team for the New York Metro area.  We engage in systems building engineering - developing the design of systems (HVAC/R), performance design and analysis from conception through construction and close-out for commercial, retail, NYM public agency buildings, transportation buildings and more! 

This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the Engineering Dept Members as needed. 
• Perform engineering design activities under the supervision of an experienced engineer. 
• Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. 
• Collect and analyze data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. 
• Uses computer software as a tool for creating drawings such as AutoCAD, Micro-station and Revit and solving basic engineering problems utilizing Microsoft Office tools. 
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
