Provide expert technical advice on pavement design, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of highway and road projects.
Review and assess pavement designs, design parameters, material characteristics, traffic data, and pavement performance in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
Supervise and monitor pavement construction activities including subgrade, sub-base, base courses, bituminous works, concrete pavement, and associated works.
Review and approve, as applicable, pavement materials, mix designs, laboratory/field test results, construction methodologies, and quality control procedures.
Monitor pavement quality and construction practices to ensure compliance with MoRTH/NHAI specifications, IRC codes, relevant standards, and approved project specifications.
Undertake assessment of existing pavement condition, identify pavement defects and distress, and recommend appropriate rehabilitation, strengthening, or maintenance measures.
Provide technical inputs for pavement rehabilitation, overlay design, strengthening, maintenance strategies, and life-cycle performance of highway projects.
Provide specialist inputs related to pavement and approach works for major bridges and associated highway structures, including interface and transition-related issues.
Monitor and provide technical guidance on Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of pavements and major bridge approaches, including performance evaluation and remedial measures.
Coordinate with the Client, Team Leader/Project Manager, Contractor, Design Team, and other specialists, and prepare/review technical reports, pavement assessments, inspection reports, and recommendations related to pavement works.
