Ready to make a real difference – not just in your career, but for the planet?
As water technologies experts, we don’t just offer jobs – we build careers with purpose. We’re on a mission of Ecological Transformation, and we’re looking for a dedicated Site Manager to help us lead the charge.
The Site Agent is the on-site leader responsible for the execution of MEICA-focused water industry projects. In this pivotal role, you act as the day-to-day business owner on-site, working in close partnership with the Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery. You provide essential site leadership, serving as the operational arm to the Project Manager to achieve project goals, while maintaining a functional reporting line to the Construction Manager. You hold total responsibility for driving the site programme, managing budgets, and ensuring our commercial commitments are met, while maintaining impeccable standards in safety and quality for all MEICA installations.
What will I be doing…
You will lead on-site delivery through three core pillars: Project Management (budget, schedule, and client relations), Health & Safety Management (CDM compliance and safety culture), and Quality Management (installation standards and installation sign-off).
Onsite Project Management
- Liaise directly with the client to provide regular updates, address concerns, and ensure project alignment on MEICA-specific requirements.
- Manage the site programme to ensure all milestones are met and potential delays are proactively mitigated.
- Control site costs and project budgets by monitoring expenditure, optimizing resource allocation, and managing variations.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and internal labor to maintain productivity across mechanical, electrical, and ICA workstreams.
- Manage the procurement of onsite materials and equipment in line with project timelines.
Onsite Health & Safety Management
- Oversee all onsite health and safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident environment.
- Act as the site representative for CDM regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Foster a proactive safety culture, ensuring risk assessments and method statements are strictly adhered to, particularly concerning electrical and mechanical hazards.
Onsite Quality Management
- Monitor installation progress to ensure strict adherence to technical specifications, drawings, and industry best practices for MEICA works.
- Conduct thorough, systematic inspections of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation installations as work progresses.
- Maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) on-site, including detailed installation records, test results, and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) documentation.
- Verify that all installations are complete, tested, and compliant, providing the final formal sign-off to release the site to the commissioning team.
- Proactively identify defects or non-conformances, ensuring they are rectified prior to handover.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Site Agent or project management role within the construction industry, specifically within MEICA water projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, health and safety legislation (specifically CDM 2015), and WIMES.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective client and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, or equivalent engineering qualification).
