We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our port and terminal operations team in Kuwait City, Kuwait. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the mechanical systems and equipment that are critical to our port's daily operations. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians while ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency across all mechanical infrastructure. - Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems and equipment solutions for port and terminal operations, including cranes, conveyors, loading systems, and related infrastructure
- Conduct detailed technical analyses and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to identify issues and recommend corrective actions
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of all mechanical equipment to ensure operational reliability and minimize downtime
- Lead and supervise a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Manage capital and maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation while maintaining equipment performance standards
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and compliance procedures in accordance with international maritime standards and local regulations
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and external vendors to optimize equipment performance and manage vendor relationships
- Utilize CAD software and other engineering tools to create technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance operational efficiency
- Analyze operational data and recommend process improvements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs
- Ensure all mechanical systems meet environmental and safety standards specific to port terminal operations
