The Scientist performs experiments, analytical testing, and data interpretation to support method development and quality control. The role requires independent work on routine projects and collaboration with teams on complex assignments. With appropriate training and demonstrated technical competency, the Scientist contributes to advanced analytical testing and high-knowledge projects, including additional duties such as data review, aligned with their skillset.
- Perform routine and moderately complex laboratory experiments, using relevant techniques.
- Execute validated methods and assist in method development and optimisation.
- Identify and resolve technical issues in analytical processes or experimental procedures.
- Work with cross functional teams to support projects and ensure compliance.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal SOPs, regulatory standards and company quality requirements.
- Own and drive process improvement initiatives and support laboratory projects.
- Respond to customer related queries where necessary and liaise with the team to solve these queries if needed.
- Review and sign off all technical documents once training in the relevant task is successfully. completed. This includes laboratory reports, SOPs, protocols, investigation reports and any other documentation issued.
- Gain a deeper understanding into the relevant techniques aiming to act as an SME and support colleagues with troubleshooting.
- Host Root Cause Analysis sessions and ensure information is disseminated accordingly. Design effective CAPAs and improvements.
- Create and update relevant documentation e.g. Risk Assessment reports, SOPs and client reports.
- Develop and validate new tests and procedures for the company and for clients.
- Support client audits and regulatory inspections.
- To provide cover for other members of staff as required.
- Perform routine and non-routine analysis as and when required to support operational needs.
