As a Senior Designer - Electrical (Resources + Industry) you will be a key contributor within a multidisciplinary design team, working closely with regional engineers, designers, project managers and global delivery teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective and fit-for-purpose solutions on mining and industrial projects. Working within a collaborative global delivery model, you will contribute to the successful execution of projects while maintaining alignment with clients, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Here is what you will do:
- Produce and coordinate detailed electrical designs, layouts drawings, models and documentation in accordance with the standards applicable to the project location, client specifications, and project requirements.
- Perform advanced electrical design and drafting using AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise, BIM Forma and other relevant software.
- Develop concept and detailed designs for mine services, materials handling facilities, transport systems, water infrastructure, fuel facilities, industrial plants and associated electrical systems.
- Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, structural, civil, process and control systems disciplines to ensure fully integrated design outcomes.
- Participate in model reviews, design reviews and clash resolution activities to support efficient project delivery.
- Manage drawing registers, design deliverables, document workflows and assigned work packages.
- Conduct quality reviews of your own work and provide checking and mentoring support to junior designers.
- Collaborate effectively with regional project teams, stakeholders and clients to manage technical queries, priorities and deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, design innovation and the development of standardised work practices.
- Support the development of engineering capability and knowledge sharing across the global delivery network.
