Hyde Perth is looking for an experienced and passionate Duty Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in the seamless operation of the hotel.

As Duty Manager, you will be a highly visible representative of hotel leadership, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence and a safe environment for both guests and colleagues. You will oversee the hotel in the absence of senior management, confidently making operational decisions, supporting our teams and resolving challenges as they arise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and support the Front Office team to ensure efficient and welcoming check-in and check-out experiences.
- Manage guest arrivals and departures, ensuring a positive first and last impression.
- Respond to guest enquiries, feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, taking ownership through to resolution.
- Anticipate guest needs and preferences to create memorable and personalised experiences.
- Proactively collect and communicate guest feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Support hotel outlets and assist in resolving operational issues that may impact guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate maintenance requests when dedicated maintenance staff are unavailable, ensuring issues are followed up promptly.
- Maintain high standards of service, presentation and cleanliness throughout the property, particularly during off-peak and after-hours periods.
- Act as Chief Warden and first responder during emergency situations, following hotel procedures and coordinating with emergency services when required.
- Provide first aid to guests or team members when necessary.
- Maintain a visible and proactive security presence throughout the hotel.
- Conduct regular patrols and safety checks, identifying and escalating potential hazards.
- Accurately document incidents and prepare detailed reports for management and appropriate follow-up.
- Represent hotel leadership in the absence of the Head of Department and General Manager.
- Make informed operational decisions in line with hotel policies, procedures and brand standards.
- Support, coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability and excellence.
- Undertake ad-hoc duties and special projects as required by senior management.
