Summary of Main Responsibilities
- To assist Eurofins Biomnis in maintaining a high standard in medical testing.
- Provide support to clients and colleagues to ensure a first-class service.
- To maintain and enhance their professional knowledge and skills as required.
- Work with colleagues to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the department.
- Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the mission and values of Eurofins Biomnis.
- Be responsible for organisation of workload, prioritising tasks to ensure the effective running of the Haematology Department
- Be responsible for maximising the use of available resources within the service and identifying requirements to meet future needs.
- Lead and co-ordinate scientific staff and/or support staff within the department. Ensure that the team is allocated according to their ability, education, training and patient needs and apply maximum delegation compatible with safe work practice.
- Supervise and support basic grade scientists, students and auxiliary laboratory personnel.
- Manage the organisation of workload, prioritising tasks to ensure the effective running of the Department.
- Observe the strictest confidence when dealing with all aspects of patient and Company information.
- Deputise for Chief Scientist in Haematology as required on technical matters.
- Participate in CPD programmes and achieve targets set by Eurofins Biomnis.
