The purpose of this position will be to manage the collection, delivery team and the fleet associated with the Feltham site.
This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:30 till 16:30.
- Ensuring highest standards of Health and Safety are maintained across the logistics team, reporting and investigating all incidents and accidents within the safety portal.
- Ensure effective management of temperature control environments, through the calibration of probes and profiling of vans.
- Manage and audit all aspects of logistics work and procedures to ensure consistent delivery across team.
- Co-operate with the investigation and resolution of customer issues relating to the business unit.
- Monitor all spend and review with Logistics management.
- Co-ordination of the logistics team absence ensuring continued effective delivery of required tasks.
- Manage co-ordination of sample collection routes to ensure efficient use of company resources delivering an efficient and effective service supporting both clients and laboratories.
- Liaison with third party chilled couriers to facilitate any additional requirements.
- Direct client liaison regarding collections providing updates when required.
- Internal communication with other Eurofins departments to facilitate logistics requirements.
- Out of hours cover for logistics team, a shred approach in place.
- Processing and reporting of data as required for logistics team.
- Management of the Eurofins fleet at home site, ensuring all vehicles are serviced and compliant.
- Ensure effect and efficient use of sample drop off locations.
- Daily management of the logistics team for the home site, as well as covering absence for logistics management at other sites.
- Recruitment and induction of newly recruited drivers.
- Performance management of team.
- Monitoring of logistics team on road behaviour via digital platforms.
- Cover for the Logistics manager where required.
