We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented BIM Designer specializing in Ports and Marine Structures to join our growing team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive Building Information Models for complex port and marine infrastructure projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for port facilities, marine structures, and related infrastructure using industry-standard software
- Preparation of accurate 3D BIM models (LOD 200–400) for marine and structural works.
- Drafting and extraction of 2D drawings, plans, sections, elevations, reinforcement details, schedules, and shop drawings from BIM models.
- Preparation of material take-offs (MTOs) and quantity calculations directly from BIM models.
- Rock volume calculations, dredging and reclamation quantity calculations, and cut-and-fill assessments using CAD/BIM models.
- Development of 3D tie-in models between new and existing marine structures to identify clashes and ensure smooth construction interfaces.
- Coordination of multidisciplinary BIM models and resolution of design clashes using Navisworks.
- Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and mitigate design conflicts before construction
