About the role
In this role, you will lead the hydraulic design and technical review of stormwater and drainage infrastructure across major projects, with a strong focus on practical, buildable and technically robust outcomes.
Your responsibilities are likely to include:
- Leading the hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater and drainage infrastructure for major transport, defence and energy projects
- Providing technical leadership in the design of pit and pipe drainage networks, open channel systems, culverts, detention and treatment infrastructure, major/minor drainage systems and flood conveyance infrastructure
- Overseeing hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, including interpretation of results and integration into design outcomes
- Reviewing and approving technical calculations, design models, drawings, reports and specifications
- Advising project teams and clients on flood risk, drainage strategy, network performance, design criteria and infrastructure resilience
- Supporting delivery from planning and concept design through to detailed design and construction support
- Acting as a senior technical reviewer and mentor to developing engineers across the team
- Supporting client engagement, work winning and proposal development in the Perth market
- Contributing to the growth and maturity of the local drainage and water resources capability
