The Opportunity
AECOM is looking for a Civil Engineer – Pavements to join our growing Transportation team.
This is an opportunity to build your expertise alongside some of New Zealand's leading pavement specialists while working on a diverse range of projects spanning highways, airports, urban transport corridors and major infrastructure programmes.
You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from investigations and design through to construction support and quality assurance, developing practical pavement solutions that balance performance, constructability and long-term value.
Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, you'll have the opportunity to grow your technical capability, strengthen client relationships and contribute to projects that improve how people and goods move across New Zealand.
How You'll Add Impact
- Deliver pavement engineering designs, assessments and construction support across a diverse portfolio of transportation projects.
- Undertake pavement investigations, interpret testing data and develop practical engineering solutions for complex infrastructure challenges.
- Apply New Zealand and Austroads pavement design standards to develop cost-effective and technically robust outcomes.
- Support project delivery through construction by responding to technical queries and helping resolve site challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and clients to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Contribute to project planning, delivery and commercial success across a range of transport infrastructure projects.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and project stakeholders through proactive communication and technical excellence.
- Share knowledge and support the development of graduate and junior engineers.
- Champion innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement across project delivery.
