At AECOM, we are seeking a Reporting Engineer – Rail Projects to join our team in our Dublin office.
The Reporting Engineer will support the Performance Reporting Lead in developing, implementing, and continuously improving the programme’s performance and reporting framework. The role will contribute to establishing effective processes, procedures, systems, controls, and reporting templates that enable accurate, consistent, and timely reporting across the project.
Working closely with project teams and key stakeholders, the Reporting Engineer will help ensure that reporting requirements are understood and consistently applied across the programme. The role will also support the production of high-quality performance reports and analysis, providing clear and reliable information to support effective project management and decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include supporting the development and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), coordinating the collection and validation of programme data, monitoring project performance, and assisting with the preparation of regular performance reports. The successful candidate will play an important role in promoting consistent reporting practices, data quality, and continuous improvement across the project.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Support the coordination and monitoring of project activities, working closely with project teams and key stakeholders to ensure tasks and deliverables remain on schedule.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and performance against agreed plans, identifying and escalating issues, risks, and deviations to the Performance Reporting Lead.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, status updates, meeting records, performance dashboards, and supporting analysis.
- Maintain and update project management systems, schedules, databases, and reporting tools to ensure information remains accurate, current, and readily accessible.
- Support the development, implementation, monitoring, and communication of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the programme.
- Coordinate the collection, validation, and consolidation of project data from multiple teams and sources, ensuring consistency and data integrity.
- Assist in analysing programme performance and identifying trends, variances, and areas requiring management attention.
- Support clear and effective communication between project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, consultants, programme teams, and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to the identification and monitoring of project risks, issues, and opportunities, supporting the development and implementation of appropriate mitigation actions.
- Help ensure project activities and reporting processes comply with relevant safety, quality, governance, and project management requirements.
- Promote consistent reporting standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of project reporting processes, systems, and best-practice approaches.
- Provide general support to the Performance Reporting Lead and wider project team as required.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the role as assigned.
