Role mission
The position acts as a Product Master Data (PMD) expert within HC/BDO2. The role takes global domain
ownership for product and material master data, ensuring high data quality, consistent standards,
and effective master data processes across the data lifecycle in line with global data governance
and regional requirements.
Core responsibilities
• Take domain ownership of Product Master Data (PMD), implement global data standards, business
rules, and quality KPIs.
• Analyze, define, and optimize master data processes for the creation, maintenance, and
archiving of product and material master data to ensure a "Single Source of Truth."
• Provide functional and system expertise for PMD within SAP MDG, GTS, core SAP systems, and
regional ERP landscapes (e.g. Baan, Oracle,).
• Manage and enforce compliance with global governance standards (e.g. 10-digit Bosch material
numbers) and steer mapping processes between legacy and target master data standard.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and feedback to continuously improve data quality and
processes.
