The Product Engineering Development (PED) Engineer serves as the core MEMS sensor and systems specialist during the mass production phase, acting as the primary technical interface between Product Development and Mass Production. Operating within a global, technology-driven environment, the PED Engineer ensures product integrity, leads risk assessments, manages engineering changes, and guarantees seamless technical operations throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and review sensor performance in the series production phase; initiate and lead root-cause analysis for performance deviations by leveraging data analytics and coordinating comprehensive failure analysis.
- Lead risk assessments from the Ramp-Up (RU) phase onward, delivering high-quality Risk Assessment (RA) outcomes from Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) perspectives.
- Manage and coordinate engineering changes from the Ramp-Up (RU) phase onward, organizing and leading the Change Control Board (CCB) as required.
- Oversee MEMS Ongoing Reliability Tests (ORT), defining the ORT scope based on specific project needs and executing it during series production.
- Provide robust technical support for customer complaints and application issues.
- During the product development phase, take ownership of engineering sample and ramp-up clearances to ensure a smooth, risk-free transition to high-volume manufacturing.
- Actively contribute to Task Forces (TF) and Focus Team (FT) investigations on demand.
