Inspect mechanical construction and installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
Monitor and verify the quality of mechanical systems and workmanship, including HVAC systems, chilled water systems, piping, pumps, ventilation systems, mechanical equipment, and associated installations.
Ensure all mechanical works meet quality, safety, statutory, and environmental requirements.
Identify, document, and report non-conformances, defects, and quality issues, and follow up on corrective actions.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical, installation, and quality-related issues.
Witness and record key mechanical installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.
Review shop drawings, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), material submittals, and quality documentation related to mechanical works.
Verify mechanical equipment and materials delivered to site against approved specifications and submittals.
Maintain accurate inspection records, site reports, punch lists, and quality documentation.
Support site supervision to ensure mechanical construction activities are executed in accordance with approved schedules and quality standards.
Coordinate with other disciplines, including electrical, CSA, fire protection, controls/BMS, and commissioning teams, to identify and resolve interface issues.
Attend site meetings and provide updates on mechanical inspection status, quality issues, and project progress.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all inspection activities.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and escalate critical issues to the appropriate line manager.
