Specific Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1) Business Development — Singapore Nuclear Programme
- Identify and win commissions arising from Singapore’s nuclear infrastructure build-up, targeting studies and advisory work commissioned by EMA, NEA, MTI, EDB, SNRSI, and related agencies.
- Position Egis as the preferred nuclear and environmental engineering partner for Singapore in progressing Phase 1 workstreams for IAEA 19-Step Milestones, including site selection, environment protection, radiation safety and waste management.
- Develop relationships with the relevant government counterparts and research institutions to be front-of-mind when Singapore’s nuclear-related commissions go to market.
2) Technical Delivery — IAEA Milestones Environmental Workstreams
- Lead and deliver nuclear-related environmental engineering commissions in Phase 1: environmental and socio-economic baseline investigations; site-specific impact screening; cooling water dispersion and thermal plume modelling; air quality, noise, and radiological dispersion modelling; and environmental monitoring programme design.
- Apply experience from nuclear power plant projects to translate IAEA infrastructure requirements into concrete, deliverable study scopes, structured to help clients build the evidence base they need ahead of the INIR audit.
- Manage multi-disciplinary project teams and ensure deliverables meet the quality and safeguards standards expected by international development clients and Singapore government agencies.
3) Regional Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with energy ministries, nuclear regulatory bodies, and development finance institutions (World Bank, ADB, JICA, AIIB) across Southeast Asia.
- Lead proposal preparation and convert client relationships into secured commissions.
4) Stakeholder Engagement and Practice Development
- Act as primary liaison with government agencies, nuclear regulators, research institutions, and development partners on nuclear environmental matters.
- Engage with IAEA networks and technical associations to maintain visibility and support Egis’s positioning.
- Develop Egis’s nuclear environmental positioning in Singapore and Southeast Asia through publications, conference participation, and industry forum engagement.
5) Ethics and Brand Representation
Uphold Egis’s values and professional standards; act as an ambassador for the Group in the sector.
